Pascal Bornand
*Quit everything for nail art. To take the time to be with people. To talk to them, touch them, make them feel good. Quit everything for love, let it kill us, hit us, make us sing and cry. Start from simple and intimate things. Speak of what speaks to everyone, start from love.
His name was inspired by a former music teacher and a few beers. He is quite honest. He draws from his own stories, hoping that they will resonate with others. His songs are always adapting, depending on who, where, how? He composes sensitive, unique, tailor-made moments. He sings about past and present loves… romance, sweat, softness, always without restraint.*
Pascal Bornand is a singer and composer from Lausanne. He studied theatre at the Conservatory in Geneva and then turned to music by training in singing and production at the ETM (Ecole des Technologies Musicales). With his solo project, Alma Catin “garçon facile”, he wants to offer non-hetero-normative love songs, write sincere melodies and why not political ones. His electro, timid pop has taken him from the Tour Vagabonde to the Docks, via the Iceberg Project (FCMA/Eurockéennes). Pascal has also been working in theatre and performance for several years, including collaborations with Maëlle Gross (Captain and This is the seed). In 2021 he created the performances Moist Light and sensitive nails, with the artists Romy Colombe.K and Léonie Vanay, sound pieces mixing electronic music, poetry and light installations, presented at All Stars in Lausanne and eeeeh! in Nyon among others. He wants to turn his lyrics into a photo edition, to gather an exclusively female team of sound technicians, to deconstruct the concert format. He is currently working on his first album, which will be produced by musicians Verveine and Billie Bird.
